Days & Olympic Programming

I'm reading that Days will only be off air once whilst the Winter Olympics are on.

Me too! I'm hoping they don't do that stupid special 'Olympic' s/l like for the summer Olympics (the film crap, I mean noir stuff). Haven't heard that they are, thank goodness!!!

If I remember correctly, they did the special Olympic storyline because they wanted every place that airs Days to be on the same episode and not one place (like country, I think it was) to be ahead of another. I really didn't watch it, seeing as I was on vacation at the time, but from what I saw, it looked pretty boring. Thank god it's only pre-empted one day for the Olympics. Anyone know why it's only one day?

OMG, I remember that noir episode!! Was that during the Olympics? Ugh, that was awful! And that's coming from someone who likes noir movies, lol! And didn't they even repeat the noir fantasy a few weeks later?? It was bad enough the first time around, lol

Yes the noir aired on oylmpics, and yes they did re-air it a few months later (I think it was new years? I forget).

WHY can't days do a big cliffhanger ala Home and Away? (Btw is Home and Away going to be doing one? Idk..i don't read spoilers lol)
